This event was organized by ILSI SEA Region Thailand Country Committee and co-organized by Food Science and Technology Association Thailand (FoSTAT).
This 1.5-day symposium aimed to review and discuss the role and current scientific evidence on the health effects of sugar and sweeteners, examine the levels and sources of intakes of added sugar and sweeteners in Southeast Asia, discuss dietary guidelines on sugar consumptions and consumer perceptions of sweeteners in SEA and other countries, and explore and identify opportunities and challenges in products innovation for sugar reductions, and identify research gaps, limitations of current evidence and recommendation to address for future guidance.
This seminar was organized by CSIRO’s food innovation centre and ILSI SEA Region Australasia Country Committee, supported by Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST) and Food Technology Association of Australia (FTAA).
This half-day seminar was organized by Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore and ILSI SEA Region.
