Physical Activity Measurement Methodologies: A Systematic Review in the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN)

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a preventable threat to livelihood and longevity in the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and insufficient physical activity (PA) is a primary cause of NCDs. The purpose of this paper was to conduct a systematic review of the current methodologies used to measure PA across studies conducted in the nations within the ASEAN group, identify the current methodologies by which PA levels are measured and defined in ASEAN countries, and any emerging trends in the research.
