ILSI SEA Region Annual Meeting 2025
24-25 April 2025, Bangkok, Thailand
ILSI SEA Region will hold its 2025 Annual Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand from April 24 – 25, 2025. This annual event will bring together ILSI SEA Region’s key stakeholders to evaluate ongoing efforts, discuss strategic priorities and address emerging scientific issues in nutrition, food safety, and sustainable agriculture.

ILSI SEA Region will hold its 2025 Annual Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand from April 24 – 25, 2025. This annual event will bring together ILSI SEA Region’s key stakeholders to evaluate ongoing efforts, discuss strategic priorities and address emerging scientific issues in nutrition, food safety, and sustainable agriculture.

Food allergies affect millions globally, presenting significant challenges to food safety, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. To address these issues, the Asian Life Sciences Institutes Network (ALSIN), together with ILSI Global, will host a conference to discuss the latest advancements, regulatory updates, and strategies in food allergy prevention and management.

Nutrition Policies, Action Plans and Strategic Development for School-aged Children in Malaysia

As part of a collaborative research project with University of Leeds (UK), this workshop focusing on the double burden of malnutrition in school-age children by reviewing nutrition policies and action plans in Malaysia. Key discussions included research findings, regional policy insights, and stakeholder collaboration.
Nutrition Labeling and Claims
15 November 2024, Hanoi, Vietnam
The seminar brought together regulators, researchers, scientists, and relevant food industry personnel from Vietnam and other SEA countries. Sharing updates on ASEAN’s harmonization efforts in nutrition labelling and claims, experts also discussed the latest issues including criteria and scientific substantiation of nutrition labels and claims. Advancing Gut Microbiome Research for Applications in Health and Food Innovation

This regional symposium shared the latest updates in microbiome research, from clinical to translational science and applications. Experts discussed topics including dietary recommendations, technological innovations, product development, regulatory developments, and consumer insights. This seminar and workshop on maternal and young child nutrition (MIYC) discussed dietary data and nutritional and health issues of concern in SE Asia. Relevant stakeholders reviewed the latest data, approaches and identified gaps for improved strategy and action in tackling persistent stunt and increasing double-burden of malnutrition in some MIYC populations in the region.
