Workshop on US Food Safety Modernization Act

BACKGROUND

This 2-day pre-conference Workshop on the US Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), conducted prior to the 4th Asia-Pacific International Food Safety Conference & 7th Asian Conference on Food and Nutrition Safety, will focus on compliance requirements in relation to the preventive controls and also Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP). This would be a ‘train-the-trainers’ type of program and would be provided by instructors from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) (https://www.ifsh.iit.edu/fspca), which is a program supported by the US FDA (http://www.fda.gov/Food/GuidanceRegulation/FSMA/ucm284406.htm).

Participants who have successfully completed the workshop will received a lead instructor certificate from FSPCA that has recognition with US FDA.
