BACKGROUND

This two-day conference will determine if individual human variation in response to food constituents offers a path forward for personalized nutrition and with experts, explore how this may occur.

OBJECTIVES

This 2-day conference aims to:

  • To consider the nature of variability in a) our world and in b) the human condition
  • To review current examples in nutrition and consider their anticipated benefits
  • To review what human nutrition can learn from other domains where personalization of product is occurring and how this could dovetail with other areas of personalization in human health
  • To consider practical issues for consumers, what is involved and the advantages
  • To discuss whether a new Research and Development paradigm is required
